１９６４年から放映開始されたひょっこりひょうたん島だが、なんと、当時はフィルムが高価で、録画が１２２４話中、４話ぐらいしか残っていないということだ。"Hyokkori Hyoutan-jima" began airing in 1964, but surprisingly, due to the high cost of film at the time, only about four of the 1,224 episodes remain recorded.
自己中の海賊トラヒゲと、とぼけた市長のドンがばちょが出てくるが、出てくる際に必ず歌っていたフレーズが今でも何故か頭に残っている。サンデー先生と博士君のセリフは記憶にない。Self-centered pirate Torahige and the goofy mayor Don Gabacho appear in the show, and for some reason, the songs they always sang when they appeared still stick in my head even now. I don't remember any lines from Sunday-sensei or Hakase-kun.
