Japan Economy, the Comedy Show

Japan Economy, the Comedy Show

The biggest comedy act in Japan’s economy is unfolding right now.

It’s a tragicomic performance where the country inflicts suffering on itself and then cries out, “It hurts!”

All it needs to do is stop hurting itself—but it won’t.

To get straight to the point: the issue is inflation. The Bank of Japan could bring it under control in an instant by raising interest rates. Yet the BOJ, having abandoned its role as the guardian of the currency, refuses to do so.

Why doesn’t the BOJ raise interest rates? It’s because of the "BOJ Accord" agreed upon with the Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) when Abenomics was launched in 2013. That agreement is still in effect.

To most people, interest rates are a vague concept. They might say, “What’s that?” or “I don’t know,” or “I guess smart people are handling it.” In reality, it’s beyond their control, decided behind closed doors, with only the outcomes announced afterward. It’s not something visible in daily shopping.

So, let’s look at the current situation.

All across Japan, both public and private sectors are crying out—budgets are strained, and rising costs are unbearable.

Yet fewer than 10% of the population realize that all of this is the result of artificial conditions created by the BOJ—more precisely, its failure to follow U.S. interest rate hikes.

As a result, no one points directly at the BOJ Accord, which underpins the decision not to raise rates.

The political establishment is ignoring the people suffering from inflation, using political money scandals as a smokescreen to avoid addressing the real issues.

In short, the political establishment does not recognize today’s inflation as a real problem.

This is an incredibly foolish stance. As soon as figures like Prime Minister Ishiba or opposition leader Noda mention revisiting the BOJ Accord, they’re silenced by Abenomics faithful who cry, “If stocks drop, it’ll be your fault!”

But you can’t govern based on the stock market! Politics should protect the people’s lives, not stock prices!

Here’s a summary of how we got to this inflationary mess:

Before 2013: Under BOJ Governor Shirakawa’s tightening policies, the yen soared to the 70s against the dollar, devastating Japanese manufacturers.

2013: Abenomics begins. Massive monetary easing with a 2% inflation target is launched under the BOJ Accord.

2019: The dollar-yen reaches 110. Manufacturing and the stock market recover.

2020: COVID-19 shock. The U.S. injects emergency stimulus equal to 25% of GDP.

2021: U.S. inflation reaches 5%. Fed Chair Powell mistakenly believes it will subside as supply chains recover.

2022: U.S. inflation hits 9%. Powell begins aggressive rate hikes. Yen begins to depreciate.

2024: U.S. inflation eases, but the yen weakens to 160. Japan experiences rapid inflation.

2025: Both Japan’s public and private sectors suffer under inflation.

The BOJ Accord should have ended in 2019 when the dollar-yen stabilized at 110.

Instead, it was never reviewed. Governor Kuroda became obsessed with achieving the 2% target—not to support people’s lives, but as an end in itself, falling into a kind of 2% fundamentalism.

Yet no one opposed the BOJ’s sacred doctrine. And for the LDP, which fundamentally represents producers, there was no compelling reason to revise the policy.

Having written all this, the chances of the BOJ Accord being reviewed now are close to zero. Most elderly voters who support the LDP likely don’t understand what interest rates mean, so they’ll keep backing the party regardless.

2 The Trump Theater, Act II Begins

The Trump Theater, Act II Begins

The Trump Theater, Act II Begins

The first act in 2020 culminated in a chaotic election and the dissolution of hope with the January 6th Capitol riot the following year.

Before we delve into how Trump secured victory this time, let’s explore the reasons:

The Democratic Party failed to adequately explain the root causes of inflation to the public. As a result, Americans suffering under inflation came to view it as a consequence of the Democrats' policy failures. The primary cause of U.S. inflation lay in the excessive scale of COVID economic aid, which surpassed 25% of GDP, and Jerome Powell, Chair of the Federal Reserve, misjudging inflation trends in 2021. Rather than offering direct aid to individuals, economic support should have been directed toward sustaining businesses on the condition of preventing layoffs during the pandemic. Powell stated in 2021 that inflation was due to the supply side not recovering post-pandemic and that it would subside as supply normalized, leading to a delay in interest rate hikes. Powell only raised rates in April 2022, when inflation had reached an uncontrollable 9%. He underestimated the colossal size of the COVID economic aid package.
Additionally, the Democrats failed to recognize that employees in traditional “old economy” sectors were increasingly distancing themselves from a party that supported expanding immigration. These employees faced job insecurity, transitioning from stable employment to non-regular positions and experiencing rising unemployment due to aggressive immigration policies. Consequently, the Republican Party, which has the backing of traditional industry workers, gained broader support across various demographics. Meanwhile, the Democrats, with their base among the M7 tech giants, were becoming a minority. It’s easy to envision a divide where the top 1% of Americans control 50% of the nation's wealth, with tech industry employees at the top and traditional industry workers at the bottom. As someone noted, this election wasn’t a battle between right and left but between the upper and lower classes—a class struggle that the Democrats failed to recognize.

How Will the Trump Theater Unfold?

Defense

The U.S. is no longer the world’s policeman. With America's contributions to NATO far exceeding those of other member states, Trump will push for more equitable burden-sharing. Under the U.S.-Japan Security Treaty, where post-war Japan’s constitution, drafted in just two weeks under U.S. oversight, renounces military capabilities, the U.S. has shouldered the defense burden. Trump will likely demand increased financial contributions from Japan. Faced with limited options, Japan will have to comply. Simultaneously, Japan will be compelled to consider constitutional revisions that might include possessing military capabilities beyond the Self-Defense Forces. Such a revision would naturally lead to the reinstatement of conscription and could include the acquisition of nuclear weapons. Japan’s current pacifist belief that peace is ensured through dialogue alone clashes with the global reality—seen in Ukraine under Russian invasion and Taiwan under the looming threat from China—that power shifts are enforced through military strength. Nuclear deterrence has gained increasing relevance. While a segment of Japanese public sentiment still supports Trump out of underdog sympathy, it’s unlikely they have fully considered the implications of his victory.

Ukraine

Ukraine’s very existence hinges on U.S. support, making everything dependent on Trump’s decisions. Realistically, Russia will not relinquish the 20% of Ukrainian territory it has occupied. This will likely lead to a negotiated end to the conflict, with Ukraine forced to cede this portion. Observers will watch closely how Russia’s domestic response evolves to the sacrifices of over 600,000 soldiers and immense military expenditures.

Government Efficiency

Elon Musk is poised to lead Trump’s initiative to cut government waste. Musk’s approach will not be limited to eliminating inefficiencies but will include providing oversight of the entire U.S. fiscal landscape from a business perspective. The handling of America’s massive national debt will be a focal point.

Healthcare Efficiency

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is set to oversee the FDA, NIH, and CDC under Trump. There’s hope that this will bring transformative changes to address the enigmatic issues exposed during the COVID pandemic.

Trade

To protect domestic industries, Trump advocates for a uniform 10-20% import tariff, using the revenue to offset the budget deficit. However, higher import prices will contribute to inflation. To control inflation, Trump will need to maintain high interest rates, which, in turn, could lead to a stronger dollar. This undermines the goal of boosting exports through a weaker dollar. The coming months will reveal whether Trump’s policy team can produce logically coherent strategies. Demands for rate hikes from Japan might also arise.

Economy

Trump’s victory is rooted in the broad support of the struggling middle and lower classes, who have been worn down by inflation. However, his policy of easing taxes on the top 1% of wealthy Americans, who hold 50% of the nation’s wealth, may seem contradictory. His base of supporters, driven by their aversion to the Democratic Party, appear less concerned with policy coherence. Trump, who openly expressed dissatisfaction and pressure on the Federal Reserve during his first term, is likely to continue pushing for rate cuts. The Trump administration, similar to its Democratic counterpart, may resort to fiscal profligacy, further escalating the national debt. Elon Musk’s efforts to curb spending might be the sole source of hope.

The End of Abenomics' Role

The End of Abenomics' Role

Before the start of Abenomics in 20213, Japan was mired in deflation under the Democratic Party administration and Bank of Japan (BOJ) Governor Shirakawa. The yen was at the 70-yen level, export companies were on the verge of collapse, and the stock market had fallen to around 7,000 points.

In late 2012, when the Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) regained power, Prime Minister Abe and BOJ Governor Kuroda introduced Abenomics, promoting monetary easing as Japan's growth strategy. The BOJ Accord, an agreement between the BOJ and the LDP, aimed to end deflation and achieve 2% core inflation. This reflationary policy led to a weaker yen at around 110, resulting in a recovery of Japan’s export industries and a tripling of stock prices. Up until this point, Abenomics could be considered a great success.

By 2020, corporate performance had recovered. For Japan to grow further, structural reforms were required, such as enhancing the ability to adapt to changing times through labor market flexibility, like monetary dismissal, rather than relying on further monetary reflation.

However, even at this stage, BOJ Governor Kuroda remained fixated on achieving 2% core inflation. Unable to reach this goal, he continued with what he called “unprecedented monetary easing,” purchasing government bonds worth 400 trillion yen and buying ETFs. In the Diet, he even cited Peter Pan’s line, “You have to believe to fly,” to inspire inflation. Despite Kuroda’s prolonged easing efforts, the 2% core inflation target was never achieved.

Within the LDP, a group of strong adherents to Abenomics, primarily centered around the Abe faction, became increasingly extreme. Traditionally, politicians favored grand reflationary policies, while central banks, as guardians of the currency, acted as a counterbalance. However, the BOJ Accord created a dangerous situation where both the government and the BOJ were aligned in their reflationary stance, removing this counterbalance. The BOJ essentially abandoned its role as the guardian of prices and currency.

In 2023, Kuroda stepped down, and Ueda succeeded him. There was hope that this would restore the balance between the government and the BOJ and end the dangerous absence of restraint on reflationary policies. However, when Ueda was being approved by the Diet, Abenomics purists within the LDP forced him to pledge to continue Abenomics as a condition for approval. Eager to become the BOJ Governor, Ueda bent his previous views and agreed, thus assuming the role.

Meanwhile, the U.S., having injected 25% of its GDP in economic support during the COVID-19 crisis, saw inflation rise in 2021. Fed Chairman Powell, believing inflation would subside once supply recovered during the economic recovery from COVID-19, refrained from raising rates, which proved to be a mistake. By March 2022, U.S. inflation reached 9%, and Powell hastily raised interest rates (FFR) sharply. As a result, the interest rate gap between Japan, which continued unprecedented monetary easing, and the U.S. expanded to 5%, and by July 2024, the dollar-yen exchange rate surged to 160 yen.

The sharp rise in the dollar-yen exchange rate led to unprecedented exchange rate gains for export companies and a rise in stock prices, but at the same time, Japan was hit by cost-push inflation. This inflation also pushed up core inflation, and the 2% inflation target that Kuroda had failed to achieve for over a decade was finally met. Although it was clearly due to external factors, Kuroda boasted about it as his own achievement before stepping down in 2022.

With the yen approaching 160 to the dollar, even the export industries, which had benefited, began to express concerns about the abnormality of the yen’s depreciation and called for action. When called to respond, Ueda made a shocking and irresponsible statement in the Diet, claiming that the BOJ had no relation to exchange rates and that inflation had nothing to do with exchange rates. This led to further yen depreciation, with some predicting the dollar could rise to 200 yen, creating an uncontrollable situation.

Recently, the phrase "a virtuous cycle of wages and prices" has become widespread, but the reality is that rising prices have far outpaced wage and pension increases, leading to a significant decline in household spending and dragging down economic (GDP) growth. Although the government is implementing price measures through cash handouts, they are merely a drop in the bucket.

Finally, in July 2024, Kanda, the Finance Ministry’s top currency official, stepped in, selling a total of $100 billion (15 trillion yen) in intervention to stop the yen's depreciation. By the end of the same month, the BOJ, perhaps reflecting on its Diet comments, decided to raise rates by 0.25%, making the yen’s reversal and appreciation inevitable.

In September 2024, Prime Minister Kishida resigned, and Ishiba, a long-time critic of Abenomics’ side effects, became the next prime minister. However, he was quickly absorbed by the Abenomics purists within the LDP, and the party decided to push Abenomics even further. In contrast, the Constitutional Democratic Party has pledged to review the BOJ Accord and target over 0% inflation.

Although the LDP's main support base is suffering from inflation, they lack awareness that the excessive implementation of Abenomics is the root cause. Thus, in the October 27 election, it will be crucial for the opposition to focus on the continuation of Abenomics as a point of contention, aiming to win over the LDP's support base. It is vital for voters to realize, during the election campaign, that their economic hardships stem from the overextension of Abenomics.

Swallowtail butterfly metamorphosis

Swallowtail butterfly metamorphosis

One late summer day, I discovered a swallowtail caterpillar on a small mandarin sapling. I wondered if it might be a descendant of the swallowtail I raised before, and decided to raise it again.

For the first time, I witnessed the moment when the caterpillar prepares to pupate. After devouring about ten large leaves of the mandarin tree within a few days, it began attempting to escape from its cage. The last time I left the caterpillar in the cage, it failed to emerge from the chrysalis successfully, so this time I decided to let it out and help it pupate.

In the middle of a potted plant, where various plants besides the sapling were growing, I stood a chopstick, thinking it would be the perfect place for the chrysalis. I guided the caterpillar toward it, but after climbing to the top, it seemed dissatisfied and came back down. It then wandered endlessly around the edges of the pot, never seeming to finish its exploration.

Since I couldn’t watch it all the time, I placed a net over the pot and left it outside. By the next morning, it had settled on the middle of the chopstick where it initially climbed and had become a chrysalis.

Though it was in a small world inside a potted plant, the process of the caterpillar not being content with the first option presented to it, instead exploring the world thoroughly and choosing the best solution, was impressive to watch.

It reminded me of how parents often make suggestions they believe are good for their children. However, children ultimately find and choose the best solution on their own. Even if their final choice coincides with what the parent originally proposed, what matters is that they arrived at that conclusion through their own efforts. And if things don’t turn out well in the end, it’s not because of the parent's choice but because of their own. This process also has practical significance, as it allows for the possibility that the parent's choice may not always be the best option in an ever-changing environment.

Oops, I think I’ve become too emotionally invested in the little caterpillar, projecting my own parenting onto it. After all, the caterpillar’s parent simply left it after laying the eggs, so the caterpillar has no choice but to find its own place to pupate.

Aunt passed away

Aunt passed away

(English Follows)

It's been a year since my aunt passed away.

Throughout her lifetime, she devoted herself to the community, friends, and family. There was never a shortage of attendees at her funeral.

When I was in elementary school, my aunt's family took me to a near-by beautiful river numerous times during summer vacations. She was sincere, intelligent, and talented. My mother always praised her abilities and character in the highest terms. My aunt always lived vibrantly, brimming with confidence and energy, realizing her aspirations one after another. Her children also grew up admirably. I believe she lived a fulfilling life.

When my mother passed away, my aunt couldn't attend the funeral due to the spread of COVID-19. Regretting this, despite her old age, she made the big journey through the bitter cold to attend the one-year memorial. Sadly, she passed away on her way back. It's a profound regret that my mother's memorial might have contributed to her passing.

Even after everyone had left the ceremony, I vividly remember her still offering her prayers to my mother's photograph.

After I grew up to around 25, my aunt played a crucial role in my life.

After graduating from university and entering the workforce my aunt visited my home. Then she affectionately told me in front of the family, "You're still a child," while smiling. I would chuckle and brush it off, but those objective words made me deeply realize that the time to mature had truly arrived.

Without those words, my emotional growth would have been further delayed. After all, I was a child who received a book called "The World of Everyone" from my mother during my childhood. The character "Our Little Boy" in that book was utterly irresponsible and did as he pleased. Furthermore, in junior high, I was given "Peter Pan Syndrome" and "Structure of Dependency" as gifts. That's how my delayed independence was.

My aunt's family sent me a wonderful book. It was filled with her writings, photographs, and farewell messages, and I couldn't stop crying.

Thank you, Aunt.

The Meaning of the Sharp Drop in Lithium Prices

The Meaning of the Sharp Drop in Lithium Prices

While watching YouTube, I learned about the sharp drop in lithium prices and was shocked. It seems that the widespread adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) has reached a plateau.

Although there is an abundance of detailed analyses online, from a macro perspective, it ultimately suggests that there is no economic viability for EVs when electricity is generated by burning fossil fuels.

In regions with cold climates or for large vehicles, batteries still cannot effectively compete with fossil fuels.

It is only when fusion power or safe nuclear energy is established that EVs will truly become meaningful."

Points to Consider When Replacing a Washlet

Points to Consider When Replacing a Washlet

After using the TOTO Washlet TCF317 for nine years, it was replaced with the TOSHIBA SCS-T161.

Regarding the repair of the TOTO Washlet that I mentioned earlier, recently, the malfunctions became frequent and reached the limit of repair.

Specifically, multiple lead wires to the solenoid at the base of the movable cleaning nozzle are resin-fixed. However, the disconnection progressed into the resin, necessitating further extensive disassembly.

I began the replacement after watching videos on YouTube without referring to the manual. Reconnecting the water supply hose during the replacement required some mental gymnastics. The diameters of the branching from the main valve to the water closet and Washlet were different between TOTO and TOSHIBA.

Initially, I intended to use the supplied branch as a mere diameter conversion, thinking I'd have to rush to buy parts, but I reconsidered.

Finally, I realized that I could simply replace the existing branch from the base, and the replacement proceeded smoothly. However, this time, no water came out! Reluctantly consulting the manual, it mentioned that pressing the cleaning button after power-up initiates a reset, and it successfully started flowing!

All's well that ends well.

Immediate life-saving measures

My father witnessed a middle-aged man collapsing on the train station platform. The man's face turned pale, his eyes rolled back, and he suddenly fell.

Having seen similar cases before, my father deduced that it might be a heart attack. He performed cardiac massage, and as a result, the man regained consciousness.

Although AEDs (Automated External Defibrillators) have been installed in various places recently, it would likely be more effective to initiate cardiac massage immediately from the moment of collapse, rather than spending time searching for an AED.

Cram School vs Self Study

Cram School vs Self Study

Japan is prep school heaven. For elementary school, for junior high school, for high school and for university.  For each, we have prep school for entrance examination.

Each prep school has their own textbooks and students take classroom style lectures just like public schools.

Of course, no need to go prep school to prepare for the entrance examination. There is always an option to study at home.

Prep schools invite lots of superior students to complete for passing rate among prep schools. Superior students automatically study hard hence passing rate increases as prep schools have more superior students.

Looking at the passing rate of the prep school, parents decide which prep school to send their lazy kids hesitant to study on their own.

The biggest problem of going to classroom lecture style prep school is that, students will end up feeling as if they really achieved something just by attending the classroom.

There is no magic for preparation of examination. How long time students listen to the lecture of famous lecturer, they are far from passing the exam.

Then what should be done?

The reality is,

All matters is how you actually used your hands to solve problems on your own.

For science measure, take following strategy for each subjects.

For English, take Eiken class-1. Then solve historical exam problems.

For math, solve 'SUCEED' for 3-4 times. Then solve higher level exercise book for 3 times, then go for historical exam problems.

For Physics and Chemistry, solve 'SEMINAR' for 3-4 times. After that, solve higher level exercise book for 3 times. Finally go for historical exam problems.

For Japanese, solve historical exam problems.

For ethics and social studies, solve exercise book for 2-3 times before the actual examination date.

Nevertheless, each exercise books needs to be repeated until,

「問題を見た瞬間に答案を書き始められるレベル」you can start writing solution as soon as you see the problem.

Yourube has ton's of lectures and how-to's for passing entrance examination.

No need to go prep school anymore.

Omg, Future of Car

Omg, Future of Car

EV car is going to be mandatory in few years.

Toyota is aggressively resisting the trend proposing hydrogen engine as an alternative measure.

I though the advantage of EV over hydrogen engine was obvious.

However, Europe decided to extend the deadline to make EV mandatory. What is going on?

Logically, CO2 will not be reduced unless power generation process excludes fossil fuels.

This is a matter of course.

Fossile fuel is burned to generate electricity, then sent to battery charging followed by the conversion of the electronic energy into kinetic energy.

Simply burn fossil fuel to generate kinetic energy.

If we compare (1) and (2), (1) is less efficient resulting in more CO2 exhausts.

To really reduce CO2 by the use of EV, electric power needs to be generated by natural energy such as hydro power plant however, how many countries can actually do that?

As of now, as long as electricity is generated by fossil energy, the more EV is used, the more CO2 emission will increase for the amount of energy conversion loss.

The real reduction of CO2 by EV needs to wait for the development of fusion power plant.

This is why hydrogen car by Toyota has advantage. On top of these circumstances, safer preservation method as well as cheaper hydrogen generation method look developed already.

Now we have reasonable possibility to have wide us of hydrogen car until the realization of hydrogen fusion power plant.

My mother's 1st anniversary and my kid's passing of entrance exam

My mother's 1st anniversary and my kid's passing of entrance exam

My mother was really into education. She had been hard worker throughout her life. Naturally my kid got big expectation from her.

At the university entrance exam of last year, my kid's readiness was poor and the national standardized test score was not enough to pass the exam.

However this year, on the day of publication of exam result,

Self checked score was not really good. Although examination itself became harder than previous year, the score was not sufficient to pass the exam. Hence I expected further stretch for the 2nd section of the test that follows the 1st section.

I believe my mother helped from heaven. The pass certificate was put next to the altar of my mother.

Thank you mother. I wish my mother to celebrate in heaven.

Tax Return by e-tax

Tax Return by e-tax

Tried for the 1st time, tax return by e-tax.

It is only once a year, which I have been using as an excuse every year for not trying e-tax but depending on face to face consultation at nearby local government tax office.

Face to face tax consultation done at the office is very crowded every year by tax payer and government tax office stuff.  Very high Covid-19 infection risk exists.

This year, I finally tried all processes up to on-line electronic submission and amazingly I made it!

Authentication is done by 'my number card' and IC card reader.  Evidential attachments can be skipped for on-line electronic submission.

Detailed questions on format were resolved by google search.

One thing I found as funny was the on-line submission process where user needs to log out from system and log in once more, just for electronic submission. User need to save the finalized form  locally once, to upload later for electronic submission. I am not sure why not just let the process as straight through by enabling the submission of the form as soon as it is finalized.

I got confident on the finalized form since I made it as the same as last year's form I made by the help of government tax-office stuff. However, when there is any change on regulations or objectives, I many need to go down to tax office again.

I wish Covid-19 will end by that time.

Recently there are lots of TV programs on ordinary people. Many are very dramatic and impressive.

Honestly, it is much more fun than scenarios made up for commercial basis. Indeed it shows the limitation of imagination.

The horror of railroad crossing

The horror of railroad crossing

I saw one old lady holding shopping cart before the railroad crossing. She was looking for someone who can help her.

The crossing was open but she did not cross. Shopping cart was full of foods.

I helped her since no one looks helping her. I waited for the crossing to open.

The crossing opens and closes rather frequent.

If it is difficult to walk, it is obviously dangerous to cross even if assisted by someone.

I begged her to move faster in the middle of the crossing since bar can come down anytime however, her leg cannot catch up the necessary speed.

She speaks clearly, so only legs were the problem.

Currently, it is suicide to cross the railroad crossing if walking is difficult.

There is no sensor to detect people who cannot cross in time.  It cannot block such people to enter neither.

There is no one who can help people who cannot cross in time.

I felt profound poorness of Japan.

The only one advantage of Covid-19 disaster

Covid-19 took of lives of over 5mn people globally.

However, we are not really loosing for all aspects.

Japan has been suffering from annual influenza.

Thanks to zero Covid-19 measure implemented in China, now China has new-dimension hygrine control framework.

I am expecting that such strict measure, that was implemented during Covid-19, may contribute big reduction of normal influenza going forward.

The Power of Oral Irrigator(Ultimate remedy for periodontal disease)

The Power of Oral Irrigator(Ultimate remedy for periodontal disease)

I went down to dentist for my periodontal pocket pain however, I was told that there is no cure but to brush well.

Brushing has limitation to clean up periodontal pocket.

I looked around and encountered oral irrigator on TV program. It looked like a water gun.

I tried and was surprised to find out black small plaques came out even after persistent dental floss and brushing.

It is very comfortable to use and I regret that I should have found this earlier.

Brushing is imperfect way to clean up teeth. Brushing cannot clean plaque in between teeth.  Then dental floss comes on stage however, even that cannot clean up plaques in periodontal pocket.

Irrigator will clean up all these problems. Price starts from lower than JPY3K. I wish this will be a standard dental health care going forward.

The oral irrigator I use is a product of Bryxze. I chose it by checking customer reviews.

Memory on Clarithromycin

Memory on Clarithromycin

Clarithromycin has been helping me a lot.

Some time ago, I tended to get Mycoplasma pneumonia often and each time I recovered by Clarithromycin. When I felt sick after getting small stab wound by rusty metal while repairing something, it was again Clarithromycin that made me recover.

Quite recently, when I got pain in dental nerve in Periodontal pocket, one 200mg dose of Clarithromycin killed the pain totally.

And yesterday's inflammation pain in eustacian tube with headache. It has gone also by one dose of 200mg Clarithromycin.

No need to mention that Clarithromycin is NOT an all-mighty medicine but can only attack germs but not virus. Also note that constant easy going dosing should be avoided hence it DOES have side effects although I did not experience any.

There are lots of kinds of antibiotics such as Penicillins, Cephem,  Macrolides (Clarithromycin),  etc., and each has individual match.

I myself cannot get along with Penicillins family.

It is important to know one's match in medicine.

Time Left

Time Left

Few days ago, some funny feeling in stomach. No apatite neither.

H2 blocker eased a lot however it came back soon after it run out of effective time.

I thought finally  I got caught by stomach cancer. I started to ponder the days fighting cancer as a worst case.

Due to persistent dull pain, I was very sure that some problem should exist in my stomach.

However, amazingly, no problem was found in my stomach. On the contrary, doctor said my stomach is free from Helicobacter pylori, a major cause of stomach cancer.

Few days later, as head ache as well as shoulder ache faded away, stomach ache has gone gradually. I did not use proton pump type medicine after all, that blocks stomach acid stronger than H2 blocker. Absolutely no fever during the whole sick period. I suspect that it was maybe some kind of virus infection.

Before the medical inspection, I really though of the shortness of life.

I will stop doing anything making life shorter, that is already short enough.

And I will prioritize anything I want to achieve.

Move on with only good memory in mind

Move on with only good memory in mind

Someone's husband died then she said 'move on with only good memory in mind'.

Since my mother passed away, I myself has been deeply depressed due to chagrin, regret and loss.

However, I now aware that that is the way I should go from now on.

Move on with only good memory in mind.
