アリの巣観察キット完成！
Ant Nest Kit Assembled!
アリの観察が大好きな子供にAmazonで買ったアリの巣観察キットが到着した。前回の砂を入れる簡易版より大型で、巣作りの観察が容易なようだ。The ant next kit, purchased through Amazon for elementary school kid, was just delivered home. It looks easier to observe than the previous simple version I introduced.
厳重なコーナーのプラスチックを外し梱包を開けると、ニトリの組み立て家具のミニチュアのような板が10枚程度とネジなどの部品、石膏製の巣、ピンセットやスポイトが入っている。Opend up box by taking off rigid plastics corner elbows, I found miniature Nitori-DIY-furniture-like 10 or more plastic plates, parts such as screws, plaster nest as well as a tweezer and a dropper.
中には中国語の説明書が一枚。商品タイトルにはDiyと書いてあったのを忘れて、不吉な予感がよぎる。Found one piece of Chinese manual. Totally forgetting that product descriptions says it is DIY, I felt a bit nervous.
しかし、Amazonの画面を見つつ試行錯誤すれば、何とか組み立てられた。Nevertheless, I could assembled it by looking at Amazon screen and do try and error.
１）アクリル板の保護シールを全て剥がす。Take off cover of acrylic plates.
２）アクリル板を、石膏の巣の部分と、餌場部分に仮組する。Make temporal assembly for acrylic plates for plaster nest part and feeding yard part.
まるいシリコンゴムは最後の枠組み固定用。The round silicon rubber circles are for final fixing of parts assembly.
３）蓋を組み立て。写真を見て直感で大丈夫。Assembled box cover. No brainer by looking at the photos.
４）石膏部分は、アリが登れる階段を忘れずに。一本だけ長いネジがあるので、それを使う。For plaster parts, don't forget to attach ladder for ants. There is only one long screw to use for it.
水を注ぐ穴が上側になるように組み立てること（下の写真）。Make sure to have hole for watering on upper side(picture below).

５）組み立ては側板を最初に、最後に底板を組む。その後、シリコンゴムで組手をすべて巻いて固定。To make final assembly, assemble side plates first, then bottom plates. Fix by silicon rubber for all joint ends.
おまけで、書いてある内容はわからないが、緩衝材の中国語新聞を見る。コロナのご時世、子供は皆マスクをしていた。Besides, saw Chinese papers used as shock buffer, although I cannot read Chinese. Reflecting the middle of Covid-19, all kids are waring masks.
