絶滅ってなんだ？
Extinction, well explained
子供の本、「続 わけあって絶滅しました」を見たら面白かった。それによると、地球が始まってから９９．９％の種が絶滅している。I found kid's book titled, Gone extinct with reason, Part II, is interesting. It says 99.9% species have gone extinct since earth was formed.
でも、実際は、生物は進化で枝分かれし、より環境に合った次世代が反映し、実際に絶滅しているのは新しい環境に適応できない前世代だ。But in reality, organism radiates as it evolves making fittest generation to prosper, while old generation that cannot fit to new environment, to go extinct.
なので、絶滅した種が、より環境に合った次世代に進化できたかどうかの方が重要だろう。人知を超えた精緻な生命の遺伝子のアルゴリズムは、突然変異、適者生存、結婚により、常に解の全空間を探索するように作られている。Hence it will be more important to know whether the species that went extinct could evolve to next generation to fit to the new environment. The genetic algorithm that transcends human's understanding is designed to search optimal point in the whole solution space by means of mutation, survival of fittest and marriage.
人間だけがこの絶滅９９．９％から逃れられると考えるのは甘いかもしれない。でも、このまま科学技術が発展すれば、かなりの時間、多少の地球環境の変化からは超越した生活環境維持が可能となりそうだ。It may be too optimistic to think that only human being can get away from this 99.9% rule of extinction. However, if scientific development continues, we may be able to keep living environment detached from actual earth environment for considerable period of time.
ただ、大噴火、巨大隕石など、過去の大量絶滅期を越せるかは疑問だ。また、超長期的には太陽系から、銀河系から引っ越ししないといけなくなるし、宇宙が消えるところまで持つだろうか？ Even so, big question is if we can survive through big eruptions or huge meteor attacks just like previous mass extinction periods. Furthermore, in the super long run, human being needs to evacuate from solar system, then from galaxy, then can last until the end of universe?
コロナ如きで、ちゃんと治療薬がありながら自縄自縛で利用できず、みすみす３００万人もの死者を出している状態では非常に心もとない。人類には更に発展してもらいたいものだ。Even for Covid-19, although having decent cure medicines already, we lost over 3mn people by prohibiting ourselves to use such cure medicines. I feel uneasy about the future of human being by seeing such however, I do wish human kind to prosper further more.
