HDD（Cドライブ）を、他のPCへ、そのまま引っ越し！
Transfer HDD(C drive) to Other PC as It Is!
突然パソコン修理のお願い。Got help request for PC repair all of a sudden.
見てみると、Inspiron631S(AMD Athlon64X2)は電源ボタンを押しても完全な無反応。電源ユニットが壊れたのだろう。Taking a look, Inspiron631S(AMD Athlon64X2) did not respond at all even if I pushed power button. Probably power supply unit was broken.
さあどうしよう？ 幸い、CPUは異なるが、同じ型番のPC(Core2Duo)がもう一台未使用状態。What could I do? Luckily, although CPU was different, there was another PC(Core2Duo) that was not used often, with same product number.
ここで考えた。もし、壊れたＰＣのＨＤＤを壊れていないＰＣのＨＤＤと入れ替えたら、壊れていないＰＣでWin10はそのまま立ち上がるのではないか？There I got one idea. If I replaced HDD of the live PC by the HDD in the broken PC, live PC might boot up Win10 normal?
CPUが異なると当然、チップセットから機械語から異なるだろうし大丈夫だろうか。I wondered if different CPU could take same machine language, etc. etc.
でも、壊れたPCのアプリケーションをすべてインストールしなおすと大変な労力に。On the other hand, it would take forever to reinstall all the applications in the broken machine.
不可能な場合は単に起動しないだけで済むはず。If even if all was not feasible, PC will simply not boot up, hence should be nothing to lose.
エイヤッと壊れたＰＣのＨＤＤを抜いて、壊れていないＰＣのＨＤＤと交換してみた！Then I made up my mind to take a chance. I took off HDD of broken PC and put it into the live PC!
幸い、そのまま無事Win10が立ち上がり、全てのアプリが問題なく動作した。すごい！Luckily and amazingly, it did boot up Win10 safely and all applications worked perfect.
結果分かったことは、CPUは基本バイナリー互換であることだ。また、周辺機器その他のアドレッシングも殆ど標準化されているのだろう。Takeaway here was that CPU is basically binary compatible. And all peripherals and addressing must be almost standardized.
動作保証は全くないが、やってみる価値はあると思った。No guarantee but worth trying!
