Covid-19 Remedy - Something is Strange
米国上院のコロナ外来処方についての公聴会を見た。ここ１年近くに渡る皆の疑問に答えるとても良い討論だった。I watched the Senate Hearing on COVID-19 Outpatient Treatment. It was a very good discussion answering lots of questions around the subject.
医療設備の逼迫を回避するためにも、コロナの外来処方で入院を防止することは重要だ。ところが、現在、FDAのEUAを得たコロナ治療薬で、外来で処方できるものはない。ヒドロキシクロロキンが一時、緊急認可されたことがあったが、その後政争と営業にまみれて認可は取り消しになった。世界的には、インドでは薬屋で一般に売られている反面、米国では州によっては医師が処方しない、オーストラリアでは医師が処方すると投獄、フランスでは推進した医師が刑事告訴されるなど、対応はまちまちだ。日本では江戸川病院が対応しているが、過去の悲劇もあってか普及していない。To avoid overflow of medical facilities, outpatient treatment of Covid-19 is important. However, at this moment, there is no FDA EUA-based medicine available for outpatient treatment. Hydroxychloroquine was once approved however, approval was revoked due to politics and sales activities. Globally, it is sold over the counter in India, while in US, approval status differ from state to state. In Australia, doctor will go jail if prescribe. In France, advocating doctor was prosecuted. Situation is in mosaic. In Japan, Edogawa-hospital adopts it but probably due to historical tragedy, it is not widely used.
さて、公聴会には共和党民主党の上院議員、ヒドロキシクロロキン支持派、不支持派の医師、研究者が参加した。By the way, for the hearing, democrat/republican senates, hydroxychloroquine supporting/non-supporting doctors and researchers were invited.
ヒドロキシクロロキン支持派の医師、研究者は実際にコロナ患者を診ている人が多いのに対し、不支持派はデータや論文だけを見ている人が多い。Many of hydroxychloroquine supporting doctor/researchers are really taking care of patients while non supporting side, mainly looking data and papers but not real patients.
米国はこれから感謝祭が始まり、家族で集まる機会も多くなる。その際、感染して入院となり生死を彷徨うことを皆恐れており、ワクチンがまだ配備されない段階で、外来ベースで治療が可能な薬を必要としているようだ。US is going to Thanks Giving season where they expects lots of family occasions. Looks people fear to be in serious condition after infected and hospitalized. Hence they are looking for outpatient based medicines while waiting for vaccine deployment that may come in few month.
Johnson上院議員の「何かがおかしい」という叫びが深く心に残る。Senator Johnson's scream, 'Something is Strange', remained deep in my mind.
