Gold, BitCoin and Currency
その昔、金は通貨として用いられてきた。ところが、ある時点から通貨の役割は貨幣や紙幣に変わった。In the old days, gold has been used as currency. However, from some point, gold was replaced by coin and note on the role of currency.
金は重いし、純度を頻繁にチェックしないといけない。でも、紙幣について偽札を作るのは困難だ。Gold is heavy and needs frequent check on fake gold coins. However, it is rather difficult to make fake note.
金が通貨の座を譲った最大の理由は、金が経済全体を合理的に表せないことだろう。世の中の価値をすべて金に交換しようとすると、存在に限りのある金の価値は永遠に上昇し続けなければならない。これは永遠のデフレを意味する。The biggest reason of gold to have given up the position of currency is the inability of gold to represent the whole economy rationally. That is because the gold price needs to go up forever to represent the whole value of the world, due to the limited amount of gold.
同じことは発行量が有限なBitCoinにも当てはまる。The same applies to BitCoin that has limited amount as well.
結果、金も、ビットコインも、通貨としては機能しない。ただ、価値を認める人たちの間での需給により、対既存通貨での価格は決定される。As a result, neither gold nor BitCoin function as a currency. Nevertheless, the price, denominated by existing currencies, will be decided by demand and supply relationship among the people who appreciate its value.
一方、通常の通貨は、供給量が中央銀行によって管理されるため、価値のコントロールが容易だ。ただ、管理能力のない国家の下では、ハイパーインフレーションが現在でも散見される。Meanwhile, normal currency's value can be controlled easily by central bank's control of money supply. However, lack of currency management of nation sometimes creates hyperinflation here and there even in modern world.
金とビットコインの違いは可搬性だ。重い金は移動と保存が困難なため、決済に用いることが難しい。ところが、ビットコインの動きの捕捉は不可能で、軽々と国境や当局の管理を透過する。このため、ビットコインでの決済を認可すると、マネロン、脱税天国となり、国家は崩壊する。The difference between gold and bitcoin is a transferability. It is hard to use gold for settlement since heavy gold is hard to transfer and also is hard to warehouse. On the other hand, it is not possible to capture a transfer of BitCoin, hence it goes across boarders or government controls easily. Hence, if BitCoin based settlement is approved, world will be a heaven for money laundering and tax evasion, and eventually nation will go collapse.
